Companion product for Square Squared. A little house is similar to the diamond square unit you make with your Square Squared, but it only has two triangles on adjoining corners rather than triangles on all 4, making the unit look like a “little house”. A chart is included with cutting dimensions for your starting pieces so you can make Little Houses for all 6 sizes on your ruler - from 1” to 6” units in whole inch increments. Fun block and project suggestions included. Online video available.
We know many of you have been looking for a larger Square Squared tool to make big Diamond Square units for your modern quilts or for framing your beautiful embroidery. But what would you say if we told you could also use it to make Stacked Squares (like in Storm at Sea), Pineapple Blocks, Snail’s Trail Blocks, and a fancy version of a Flying Goose we’re calling Birds of Paradise? With all this, we know you’re itching to give it a try!
This big, versatile, two piece tool set comes with the basic instructions for making Diamond Square units that finish from 1” up to 12” in whole inch increments. You'll want to keep your eyes open, too, because we’ll be introducing patterns and technique sheets for the additional techniques and blocks as they become available.
Finally a tool that simplifies the construction of the Diamond Square unit without having to use paper foundation piecing. The Square Squared (Square2) is an all-in-one tool that gives you a window template for accurately cutting the center square, a chart printed right on the ruler for the recommended size to cut the triangles sewn to the four sides of the center square and a trim down section on the ruler that simplifies the alignment of ruler to fabric unit and allows everyone to clean up the unit to a precise measurement every time. You can see the tool demonstrated on our free online video demonstration (see below, also on YouTube). This unit is a tricky one to get accurate, but with the Square Squared tool and technique of oversizing and trimming down you’ll have far better success than with any other product on the market.
Like a glittering bauble dancing in the sunlight, this quilt is a bright dance of color. Using your Corner Pop III, 6 colorful fat quarters, and a background, this beautiful quilt will surely brighten your day!
Looking for something a little unusual? Try Arabesque! The pattern combines a very simple block with four patches in the corners to create curvy chains that snake between the staggered blocks. Nothing’s set on point, although it looks like it might be, so no setting triangles to struggle with either. Have fun watching the design come to life as you lay out the blocks and stitch together this unique quilt.
