We hope you enjoyed the Chromatic Blog Hop this week! Five of the Certified Instructors took BlockBusters and reimagined them in the gorgeous rainbow hues of Chromatic. Designed by Deb for Island Batik, this fantastic fabric collection is sure to add a splash of color to your next project.

Let’s take a look at the projects the CIs created.

On Monday, Amy Costabile of Amy’s Quilt Room shared this stunning wall hanging using BlockBuster #29 Poinsettia. The lovely blues, reds, purples, and greens Amy chose stand out against the gorgeous white background. We love how she chose to make different size blocks for a dramatic effect.

On Tuesday, Diana Mann of Muragboo Quilts blogged about her fun wall hanging using BlockBuster #46 Thorns and Thistles. The wide variety of colors that radiate from the center of the block outward are beautifully tied together with the multicolored dark border. This bright and cheery quilt looks great on point, too.

On Wednesday, Tina Dillard of Quilting Affection Designs shared her lovely table runner using BlockBuster #52 Sparkler. We love how she chose to make two different colored blocks and string them together. Her helpers Anna and Lucy definitely approve! This table runner would be a beautiful addition to a holiday feast.

On Thursday, Nicole Merriam of Heart of a Quilter launched her blog with this cute miniature using BlockBuster #67, Cupid’s Choice. Nicole is known for her minis and she did not disappoint! We love how she used a monochromatic effect on each heart. Small enough to fit on the back of her jacket, this little quilt is gorgeous in Chromatic.

On Friday, Phyllis Fay of Tucker University blogged about her fun table runner using BlockBuster #71 Illusion. The gorgeous blues and oranges of these fabrics pair perfectly in this smaller project. We love how she strung three blocks together with perfect points to create a geometric project.

What fantastic inspiration from our Certified Instructors! How about some more inspiration in the form of two brand new quilts? Watch Chain uses just the Four Patch Square Up® tool to make linked chains that remind us of the chain on a pocket watch. This quilt can be made in four different sizes and goes together with ease.

The crowning jewel of our Chromatic fabric collection, Jubilation is the newest block of the month created by Deb. This stunning quilt uses every color in the rainbow! Made with just four fundamental tools, Jubilation looks as if it’s set on point, but is a straight set quilt. This pattern is currently only available in shops, so be sure to check with your favorite to see if they have it in stock. You don’t want to miss out on this fantastic project.

Thank you for joining us this week for the Chromatic Blog Hop. The collection is currently arriving in shops. Ask your local retailer if they are stocking this fantastic rainbow line of fabrics.
